A spectacular performance in Crimdon Dene, County Durham

On August Bank Holiday weekend 2018, the beautiful nature reserve of Crimdon Dene will come alive with performance and song.

Get Involved!

Throughout May, June, July and August, we will be meeting members of the community, running workshops, having conversations and gathering ideas.

The results will become EVERYTHING THERE EVER WAS, a huge spectacular performance created with and performed by the local community.

The performance will tell the story of the past, present and future of the Dene, and the many different communities for whom it has been - and ceased to be - home. See a festival of tents from the 1920s. See agricultural workers afraid of the opening of the mines. See the very first arrivals here, thousands of years ago, across the land bridge from Europe. There may even be a picnic.

And if you are local to East Durham, we want YOU to be involved. Do you sing? Perform? Do you want to be involved in helping create banners, flags and blankets? Do you want to help out on the night? Whatever it is, we want to hear from you.
